NMImETIC Peptide Nanofibers is a US PATENT US10485895B2 product, composed of  synthetic anti-inflammatory, angiogenic, and osteogenic self-assembling peptide nanofibers (13-19 nm), acting as a scaffold. It is free from surfactants and toxic agents, and since it is entirely synthetic, there is no risk of contamination from a biological source.  It is sold in two models of Peptide Nanofibers (0.5 w/v) and Peptide Nanofibers D (Diluted 0.1 w/v). Its organic phase mimics the nanofiberous structure of natural bone. When NMImETIC Peptide Nanofibers interacts with bone, it creates a three-dimensional scaffold that fills cracks and repairs defects. Upon contact with bone, it activates the bone surface, leading to exposure of bone biomolecules on the bone surface, stimulating angiogenesis and strong bone regeneration. It is biocompatible based on ISO 10993 standard and also, is biodegradable during one months and degraded to pure amino acids without toxic ingredients. In cases where the mechanical strength of the product is also required, and on the other hand, the patient is in a situation where the possibility of lower bone repair is low due to angiogenesis (Smokers, elderly patients and etc.), to increase the osteogenesis and angiogenesis potential of ceramics and allografts, adding NMImETIC Peptide Nanofibers is recommended.

The application of NMImETIC Peptide Nanofibers as a scaffold with synthetic angiogenic, anti-inflammatory, and osteogenic properties enhances bone regeneration through the biological motifs of bone within its self-assembling peptide nanofiber structure. The mineral phase of “NMImETIC Swelling NanoBone Powder” is at the nano scale and mimics the structure of natural bone. This swelling product consists of tricalcium phosphate and resorbable spherical hydroxyapatite nanoparticles, which reduce the patient’s need for a larger quantity of the product for bone repair. This product, compared to allografts of equal weight, exhibits a 17.56% increase in volume, and compared to osteon as a synthetic bone product, it shows a 38.3% volume increase. This means that for an equal weight, patients require less of this bone product. As a result, it will have lower total costs for patients while providing significant bone regeneration benefits. When “NMImETIC Swelling NanoBone Powder interacts with bone, it fills in gaps and promotes bone regeneration in a short period.

Mechanism of action

NMImETIC NanoBone is the first commercial synthetic osteoinductive product in the world in which two mineral (less than 50 nm) and organic phases (13-19 nm) are in nano-scale. Its organic and mineral phase mimics the structure of natural bone. It is a product, composed of NMImETIC Peptide Nanofibers D (Peptide vial), a synthetic anti-inflammatory, angiogenic, and osteogenic self-assembling peptide nanofibers and spherical nanoceramics (green glass vial), acting as a scaffold. The part of peptide vial is US PATENT US10485895B2. It is free from surfactants and toxic agents, and since it is entirely synthetic, there is no risk of contamination from a biological source. When NMImETIC NanoBone interacts with bone, it creates a three-dimensional scaffold that fills cracks and repairs defects. Upon contact with bone, it activates the bone surface, leading to exposure of bone biomolecules on the bone surface, stimulating angiogenesis and strong bone regeneration. The results of the clinical trial showed that the bone repair has been done significantly within 3 months, which can significantly reduce the toothless period of the implant patients.
