Tavakol Biomimetic Technologies, is a knowledge- enterprise company. It leverages years of research and development to deliver targeted and powerful nanotechnology therapies. Funder and CEO
Dr. Shima Tavakol, Ph.D., is an associate professor of medical nanotechnology at Iran University of Medical Sciences. She received her Ph.D. in medical nanotechnology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences for studies in tissue regeneration by nanomaterials in 2014. She was commended as the highest-ranking Ph.D. student of the School of Advanced Technologies in Medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and also recognized as the first rank of Ph.D. graduate of nanotechnology in Iran by the Iranian Nanotechnology Society. She furthered her studies through postdoctoral research on mechanotransduction of the spinal cord using hydrogel-based nanomaterials at Tehran University of Medical Sciences. Acknowledged as a promising young faculty member by both the Iran Ministry of Health and Medical Education and Iran University of Medical Sciences, Dr. Tavakol’s current research focuses on the application of nanomaterials in tissue engineering and their interactions with biomaterials and cells.
